βBig Brotherβ fans, summer has officially arrived, which means it is time to meet the houseguests youβll watch face the unexpected and compete for the next few months.
On July 7, βBig Brotherβ announced its Season 28 cast in a YouTube βBrovealβ where fans watched a brief house tour before being introduced to the houseguests. Among the 14 contestants ready to form alliances, win Power of Vetoes and deceive are a rocket scientist, a MMA fighter and a βRuPaulβs Drag Race All Starsβ alum.
The video began with host Julie Chen Moonves giving a sneak peek of the house.
βFor Season 28, weβre throwing out all the rules of time and space and sending our houseguests on a journey unlike anything youβve ever seen before,β Chen Moonves said. βHistory is about to be made. So buckle up, because weβre about to travel through time.β
She explained that time, including time travel, will be the theme for Season 28. After pointing out details in the living room, kitchen, lounge and more spots, it was time for the 14 houseguests to make an appearance. Each player mapped out some of their strategies and teased what viewers can expect from them.
But they are not the only players moving into the βBig Brotherβ house this season. CBS confirmed in a press release that more houseguests will be revealed during the showβs 90-minute premiere on Thursday, July 9, at 8 p.m. ET/ PT. The episode will also stream on Paramount+.
Two of the extra houseguests have already been revealed, one a reality television fan favorite and the other a βBig Brotherβ alum. βSurvivorβ Season 50 star Rick Devens will compete this season, Entertainment Weekly reported July 7. The publication also said that a second βSurvivorβ castaway will be joining Devens in the house.
Devens originally competed on βSurvivor: Edge of Extinctionβ before returning for the historic Season 50 that aired earlier this year.
Angela Murray, who competed on βBig Brotherβ Season 26, will make her return, according to Menβs Journal. The Utah real estate agent was evicted in sixth place, delighting and frustrating fans with her chaotic gameplay. She also was a contestant on βThe Amazing Raceβ Season 38, where she competed with her daughter Lexi.
What can Devens, Murray and the rest of houseguests expect this βBig Brotherβ season?
A press release for Season 28 reads, βThis new group of houseguests is stepping into a summer where nothing is as it seems, where every twist rewrites the rules, and where time becomes the ultimate twist.β
Following the premiere, fans will get to see how Devens and the other additional houseguests disrupt the game when the βBig Brother Live Feeds,β which show the players in real time 24/7, begin on Friday, July 10, at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT on Paramount+ and Pluto TV. The live feeds will also be available on the showβs official YouTube channel for a limited time after episodes of βBig Brotherβ and βBig Brother: Unlocked.β
