βLove Island USAβ contestant Alannah Keyser, who joined the show on the June 21 episode of the hit Peacock series, will no longer appear on the program following the June 25 episode, the streaming service has confirmed to TODAY.com.
Her removal comes after a video resurfaced in which she used a racial slur while singing the lyrics to the 2019 Roddy Rich song βThe Box.β
Keyser, 21, hails from Miami and had served as one of the Casa Armor bombshells. She appeared to have made a connection with Zach Georgiou.
βLove Island USAβ has removed other cast members before. Vasana Montgomery was among the islanders who appeared in an introduction video for Season 8 on May 28. Clips of her using a racial slur surfaced shortly after that and she was dismissed from the cast the next day. She did not appear on the June 2 premiere.
A pair of Season 7 islanders were also removed from the villa in 2025. Yulissa Escobar appeared in one episode before viewers were informed that she was no longer on the show after clips of her using racial slurs on a podcast came to light.
βIn those clips, I used a word I never shouldβve used, a racial slur,β she later wrote, in part, on Instagram. βI used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasnβt trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesnβt excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. Itβs tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use.β
Cierra Ortega, who was also on Season 7, left the show toward the end of that season after videos of her using racial slurs surfaced.
She later apologized in a TikTok video.
βI completely agree with the networkβs decision to remove me from the villa. I think that this is something that deserved punishment, and the punishment is absolutely been received, for sure,β she said.
Escobar and Ortega departed the show under similar circumstances, which Escobar noted.
βIβm not justifying what I did, I know what I did and what I said was wrong, and I know what Cierra said was wrong and I know it hurt communities,β she said about Ortega in a TikTok video.
