Will Scharf, โthe White House staff secretary, will become White House โ counsel โand assistant to the โ president effective Sept. 1, President Donald Trump said on Sunday.
Scharf โwill become the White House’s top lawyer โafter overseeing the administrative work of the Oval Office in his current โ role.
He also led the National โCapital Planning Commission, โwhich approved the president’s construction of the White House ballroom.
Trump said David Warrington, the current White House counsel, is going to the private sector. Warrington formerly served as โa โpersonal counsel and a lawyer for Trump’s 2024 campaign. โ
