The ballroom is welcoming back a familiar face for โDancing With The Starsโ Season 35.
The showโs upcoming season will feature Australian ballroom dancer and pro Sharna Burgess, as confirmed on Good Morning Americaโs Aug. 24 broadcast.
โIโm back in the ballroom baby,โ Burgess said in the video announcement, also shared on the โDancing With the Starsโ Instagram page.
โA little birdie told us an absolute firecracker is back in the ballroom. Please give @sharnaburgess a warm welcome on her return as a #DWTS pro,โ the caption read.
Burgess last took the โDWTSโ stage in 2021, when she competed with her fiancรฉ, Brian Austin Green. Green and Burgess welcomed a son in 2022 and got engaged in 2023.
The dancing pro has had a long history with the show. She first appeared as a troupe member of Season 13 in 2011, meaning that she danced in group numbers but not one-on-one with celebs.
Then, in 2013, she became a โDWTSโ pro for Season 16. She came close to winning in Season 21, coming in second place with Nick Carter. She finally won the Mirrorball Trophy in Season 27, alongside Bobby Bones.
Meanwhile, sheโs been a judge on the Australian edition of โDancing With the Starsโ since 2019.
Burgess is in good pro-company for โDWTSโ Season 35, with a return for fellow Mirrorball winner Witney Carson already announced.
So far, four contestants have been announced for Season 35: โLove Islandโ and โThe Traitorsโ alum Maura Higgins, โSummer Houseโ star Ciara Miller, โJimmy Kimmel Live!โ sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez and Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson.
โDWTSโ Season 35 airs Sept. 15 live on ABC and simultaneously on Disney+.
