Meghan Markle has some sweet words to say about her husband Prince Harry.
Markle, whose official title is Duchess of Sussex, shared a photo on Sunday of Harry with the coupleโs two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, in honor of Fatherโs Day.
โTheyโre so lucky to have you,โ Markle wrote in the caption. โWe all are.โ
The photo features Archie and Lilibet, hugging their father tightly as he smiles at the camera.
The couple, who permanently stepped down from their duties as senior members of the British royal family in 2021, have been parenting their children in Montecito, California, away from the frenzy of press and attention in the U.K.
Harry has been open about his experience as a dad and how his own royal background inspired him to parent differently from his father. While on a 2021 episode of the โArmchair Expertโ podcast, which is co-hosted by actors Dax Shepard and Monica Padman, Harry shared that the coupleโs decision to leave the U.K. had a lot to do with his attempts to โbreak the cycleโ of sometimes-dysfunctional royal parenting.
โThereโs a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway,โ Harry said. โAs parents we should be doing the most that we can to try to say, โYou know what, that happened to me, Iโm going to make sure it doesnโt happen to you.โโ
Harry added that his father, King Charles, likely treated him โthe way that he was treated.โ
โHow can I change that for my own kids?โ Harry said on the podcast. โWell, here I am. Iโve now moved my whole family to the U.S.โ
Harry isnโt the only royal getting a lot of love this Fatherโs Day. His older brother Prince William, whose 44th birthday also falls on the holiday, was honored with a photo featuring William and his daughter Princess Charlotte.
โHappy birthday and Fatherโs Day to the best Papa in the World! We love you very much. C, G, C & L ๐,โ the post said, with the initials referring to Middleton, whose formal title is Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
