Well, this is double the nostalgia and double the delight.
Lindsay Lohan “reunited” the twins from 1998 classic “Parent Trap,” whom she portrayed when she was just 11 years old in a sweet Instagram post. Now, they’re all grown up!
Lohan shared a video, reprising her roles as both Hallie and Annie, for the twins’ Oct. 11 birthday.
“The Parent Trap” revolves around the twins — Hallie, raised in the U.S., and Annie, raised in the U.K. — who are born to divorced parents. The twins, who are separated at birth and each raised by one of their biological parents, end up meeting at summer camp where they devise a plan to get their mom and dad back together.
In the video, Lohan, as Annie, reminds her sister of their special day.
“Hi Hallie, happy birthday! You know it’s October 11th,” Lohan says in a British accent.
Lohan responds as Hallie.
“Annie you’re so funny!” she says. “Of course I know it’s October 11th! Happy Birthday, sis.”
Our hearts!
The post received an outpouring of love, including a birthday greeting from Elaine Hendrix, who played villain Meredith Blake in the film.
Others also demanded a “Parent Trap” sequel.
“Okay let’s announce The Parent Trap 2 now tysm @disney,” one person wrote.
Lohan has been charming millennial audiences with her throwback references. She recently recreated the iconic Oct. 3 “Mean Girls” scene.
It’s led fans to dub the actor the “Queen of October.”
Long live her reign!
