Kaya Scodelario is responding to speculation about Meghan Markle will be making an appearance in the next season of “The Gentlemen.”
“The more the merrier. Everyone, come have a go,” she said during an appearance on the 3rd Hour of TODAY on Sept. 9.
In an Aug. 21 article, Variety reported that Markle was in talks to join the third season of “The Gentlemen,” Guy Ritchie’s Netflix show.
Scodelario said she has no say in the matter, but she is following the news.
“I, unfortunately, have no decision-making abilities. I wish I did. I would love to cast the show myself. I’d put all my friends in it,” she said.
The hit Netflix series just dropped its second season and was renewed for a third.
“I think what’s wonderful about our show is that we have these characters pop up and we get these great guest actors come in, sprinkle a little bit of their magic into the characters and make really memorable scenes out of them. It’s one of the things I love most about the show,” Scodelario said.
According to IMDB, “The Gentlemen” has filmed in locations in the United Kingdom.
Markle recently moved back to the United Kingdom with her husband Prince Harry and their two children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, after living in the United States for several years.
Before meeting Prince Harry, Markle starred on the USA Network series “Suits” for seven seasons. After stepping back from her formal duties as a royal in 2020, Markle ventured into reality TV. She starred in two seasons of a lifestyle Netflix series titled “With Love, Meghan.”
Markle and Prince Harry also starred in a six-part Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” which featured intimate interviews and never-before-seen footage of the couple.
In 2022, Markle spoke with Variety and shared whether she’d ever return to acting.
“No. I’m done,” she said at the time. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”
