Dolly Parton’s Projects In the Works Before Her Death and Release Dates

Before her death, Dolly Parton had a slew of projects she was excited about bringing to life and sharing with her millions of fans.

On Aug. 26, a day after the country icon died at the age of 80, her team shared an update on all the plans she had in development.

“Dolly worked up until the day she died. She loved seeing her dreams come to life, and loved knowing her work brought people joy,” her longtime manager Danny Nozell said in a press release. “Ever the planner, Dolly worked with the team that she handpicked, for the past several years to build a project roadmap that will guide us for decades to come.”

Parton died after being diagnosed with cancer, her estate announced Aug. 25 in a statement. She had not publicly disclosed her diagnosis, but had been open about her ongoing health challenges.

While the beloved star’s death came as a shock to many, she prepared for her legacy to live on. Nozell said in his statement that he and Parton’s team will oversee the many projects she had been working on and “ensure the many dreams she had yet to fulfill are brought to life.”

He noted that many projects were in various stages of development, stressing that Parton approved everything that would be shared on her official channels.

“If you see unreleased music, products, books, experiences, and campaigns launched through official Dolly Parton channels, you can have confidence in knowing that she placed her personal stamp on it.”

The “9 to 5” singer’s team also shared a video compilation of Parton hard at work, promoting some upcoming content.
