During what has already been a history-making 2026 World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo keeps his loved ones close.
The 41-year-old Portuguese soccer star scored two goals during his teamโs match against Uzbekistan on June 23, becoming the first player to score in six different World Cups. His family was with him every step of the way.
Thatโs because Ronaldo has his five childrenโs names on his cleats. In close ups of his footwear, under the Nike logo, one cleat has the names Matteo and Chris Jr. and the other has Eva Maria, Alana Martina and Bella.
Ronaldo is father to 16-year-old Cristiano Jr. The athlete has never publicly shared the name of his eldest sonโs mother, saying in 2015 on โThe Jonathan Ross Show,โ โSome points in life (are) private and people have to respect the privacy. When Cristiano (grows) up, I am always going to say the truth to him because he deserves it, because he is my son. But I am not going to say because people want me to say.โ
The superstar also welcomed twins Eva Maria and Mateo in 2017 with the help of a surrogate.
Ronaldo also shares 8-year-old daughter Alana Martina and 4-year-old daughter Bella with fiancรฉe Georgina Rodrรญguez.
Baby Bella was a twin. However, the couple announced their sonโs death shortly after Bellaโs birth.
Over the years, Ronaldo has opened up about the importance of his family and kids. In an Instagram video, heโs said that when he receives any type of accolades, โIโm always thinking about my family, especially my kids.โ
He called them his motivation to continue playing the sport.
Additionally, in an ESPN interview, Ronaldo touched on how he could have millions and billions of dollars โbut the most important thing is… family.โ
โBut in the beginning, your family itโs always with you for the good moments and for the bad moments,โ he added.
