The royal family was in the house for one of tennisβ biggest events of the year.
Prince William, 44, and Kate Middleton, 44, attended the Wimbledon Tennis Championships just outside London on July 12. The couple also brought their two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to the menβs singles final between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev. Sinner ended up securing the victory.
The four, who sat in the designated Royal Box, appeared to be dressed in their Sunday best for the occasion. Princess Kate β who serves as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, a role that has been held by a member of the royal family for decades β wore a flowy, forest green dress.
William and son George, 12, both sported classic suit-and-tie looks as per the exclusive Royal Box dress code. Meanwhile, Charlotte, 11, donned a blue dress with a similar cut to that of her motherβs. Prince Louis, 8, did not attend.
The match was an eventful one, with Sinner beating Zverev 6-7 (7), 7-6 (2), 6-3, 6-4. The win makes this Sinnerβs second consecutive Wimbledon title. The Princess of Wales presented Sinner with the Gentlemenβs Singles Trophy.
βThereβs no better place to play tennis,β Sinner said during the trophy ceremony.
Zverev praised his opponent after his loss.
βCongratulations to Jannik,β Zverev said. βHe showed once again why heβs the best player in the world.β
