The “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom is feeling the team spirit as it celebrates Super Bowl Night.
For the Oct. 13 episode, the remaining 11 couples are performing to songs that were “made famous” by some of the most iconic Super Bowl performances.
The sports-filled night began with an exhilarating opening number set to Bad Bunny’s “NUEVAYoL,” “Rude Boy” by Rihanna and “HUMBLE.” by Kendrick Lamar. The routine also included appearances from NFL legends and “Dancing with the Stars” alums Donald Driver, Emmitt Smith, DeMarcus Ware and Danny Amendola.
As Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough co-host, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough are joined by “Monday Night Football” broadcaster Joe Buck, who is bringing his football expertise to the ballroom.
“I know absolutely nothing about dance!” Buck exclaimed. “Nothing, but I married a dancer.”
Buck then gave wife Michelle Beisner-Buck, a reporter, sports commentator and former NFL cheerleader, who was in the audience, a shout out.
First up was Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas with yet another “thrilling” routine. After nabbing the first 9 of the season last episode, they once again impressed the judges. Though there were some critiques for her — and many of the other couples.
The pros and troupe will be on hand to deliver additional performances set to the tunes of “It’s Heavy Action (Monday Night Football Theme)” by APM and “In The Air Tonight” by Chris Stapleton, along with “Bootylicious” by Destiny’s Child.
