‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Witney Carson Reacts to Speculation She Wants to Be Voted Off Amid Pregnancy

“Dancing With the Stars” pro Witney Carson and partner Guillermo Rodriguez have been in the bottom three since the Season 35 premiere.

Carson, who is currently pregnant with her third child, a boy, and Rodriguez may have received the lowest scores week after week, but they have definitely secured the popular vote.

After the Sept. 29 “DWTS” episode, which saw them receive a 15 out of 30, their highest scores so far, Carson reacted to speculation that she’s ready to be eliminated.

“I do feel like I need to address some rumors going around or some opinions, speculations, whatever you want to call it,” Carson said in her TikTok video. “Every week, Guillermo and I have been put in the bottom three, which doesn’t necessarily mean all those couples have the lowest votes, but it does mean that you don’t get to celebrate that you’re safe. You only get to hear who’s going home.”

She said that when the cameras pan to her reaction after the eliminated couple is announced, it’s her being “genuinely sad for the people going home.” Then there’s “excitement” that she gets to continue in the competition.

“Those two emotions are existing at once,” she continued. “But my first initial reaction is sad for whoever’s going home, and then obviously we celebrate, and they don’t really show that bit.”

“Yes, I am very happy that we’re continuing on,” Carson said. “… I am truly so grateful to continue on in this competition week after week with Guillermo because he really deserves it. He is genuinely a kind person. He genuinely wants to get better. He never gives up.”

She shared how anytime she is resting, Rodriguez continues to practice and that he is so dedicated.

“What you see on Tuesdays is his very best,” the dancer explained. “There’s a lot to say about someone who may not have the skills, but is willing to learn and put in the work. That’s an amazing thing.”

She also addressed people who are “concerned” about her and her baby’s health.

“I know how far to push my body and the baby’s health has always been my No. 1 priority,” she said.

Carson previously shared the same sentiments in her chat with TODAY.com.

“As much as I want to dance and want to do all of it, I really have to be careful to make sure that I don’t overdo it,” she said ahead of the Sept. 15 “DWTS” premiere. “It’s perfectly safe to do all the things and I’m really not taking this any differently than I would any other season as far as mentally and physically.”

She stressed that she loves to dance and compete, but she and husband Carson McAllister were also ready to grow their family. The couple share boys Kevin, 5, and Jet, 3.

“I don’t feel like people necessarily have to lose parts of themselves to keep growing their family. That’s kind of my mantra,” she told TODAY.com. “I’m gonna stay true to what I love and continue on my career and continue to grow my family. It’s a big blessing to be able to do both.”
