Jason Kelce is revealing major details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelceβs star-studded wedding, from the wide-range of attendees to emotional moments.
The retired NFL player, who served as his younger brotherβs best man at the July 3 nuptials, visited Philadelphia radio station 94WIP and spoke about the Madison Square Garden event in a clip posted on Instagram July 30.
When asked about the ceremony, Jason Kelce described it as βincredibleβ and βmore than 10 out of 10.β
He also shared that he became emotional as he watched Swift and his brother celebrate their love story.
βI am a crier. I did cry … Probably cried more at this wedding than I cried at my own wedding, which probably is not acceptable,β he joked.
Jason Kelce playfully added that his wife Kylie Kelce was βprobably not happy about that.β
He confirmed that Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, praising the comedian for being the ideal person for the job.
βObviously, heβs hilarious and he knows how to make it entertaining and funny, but thereβs a sweetness to Adam in everything he does, all of his movies, that really resonated throughout,β Jason Kelce explained.
Speaking about the bride and groom, he continued, βI think that Taylor and Travis were fantastic in the ceremony.β
He revealed that the pair strayed from a traditional reception and instead threw a giant party with their friends and family.
βMy favorite moments were just the different people that are at this wedding, right? Like, in one moment, Iβm going (from) seeing Brad Pitt pop out of a corner and talking to him, and then in the next moment, Iβm seeing Mrs. Clark who ran the attendance at Cleveland Heights High School,β he shared.
Jason Kelce took some time to catch up with his former teacher and reminisce about his younger days when he tried to mimic his dadβs voice to call out sick. Other friends and relatives from their hometown were there, he said, as well as more famous faces like Conan OβBrien.
βIt was an amazing evening with a lot of awesome people, and, you know, just so happy for both Travis and Taylor,β he said.
In another clip, Jason Kelce expressed how surprised he is that pictures from the wedding still havenβt leaked.
βI havenβt seen any legitimate photos really from the wedding. Itβs remarkable that there was a thousand people inside Madison Square Garden … and thereβs really not a lot out there,β he pointed out.
He also said that the lack of pictures shows how much effort his brother and sister-in-law put in to make their special day feel βintimate.β
He noted the βbacklashβ the two received for holding their wedding at the New York City arena and said that the space βdidnβt feel like Madison Square (Garden).β
βThey did a great job of finding an area that could be very secure,β he continued. βSome place that they would be able to have this kind of control over it, while also feeling intimate and really special. It was incredibly done.β
In the weeks since the nuptials, more information about the pop icon and the Kansas City Chiefs starβs unique venue and ceremony have emerged β mostly thanks to Jason Kelce.
He previously told the Reno Gazette Journal that all four of his daughters β Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 1 β were flower girls.
βTheyβre beautiful, theyβre incredible personalities,β the proud dad gushed about his daughters. βAnd Travis and Taylor love them.β
